Ophthalmic Photographer Assistant-Research Imaging role at UCHealth.
Base pay range : $22.00 / hr - $28.00 / hr. Location : UCHealth Eye Center Boulder, Boulder, CO. Employment type : Full Time, 1.0 FTE (80.00 hours per pay period).
Summary : Operates specialized ophthalmic equipment at a novice level (assessed by unit). Performs ophthalmic imaging procedures at a novice level (assessed by unit).
Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision of an eye care provider, assists with performing patient care and patient flow.
- Under direct supervision of an eye care provider : Performs diagnostic imaging and testing. Administers intravenous agents in preparation for retinal angiography. Performs clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area.
- Provides documentation, patient education and enters charges.
- Performs clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) within 30 days of hire or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification.Completion of the Ophthalmic Assistant Home Study Course within 1 year of hire (tracked by unit) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Certification.Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider; BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.2 years of related healthcare experience.Benefits and remarks
