U.S. Got People is seeking a qualified Optometrist to provide full-time services to active duty service members, veterans, and their families at the Ophthalmology and Optometry Clinics located at Naval Hospital Jacksonville and Naval Branch Health Clinic Jacksonville, Florida. Position Overview

Minimum Qualifications
Degree :Doctor of Optometry from an accredited institutionCertifications :Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationsExperience :Minimum of 12 months experience in the last 36 months as an optometrist in a hospital or clinical setting performing advanced procedures, including refractive surgery careBoard Certification :Certified by the National Board of Examiners in OptometryLicensure :Hold a current, unrestricted therapeutic optometry license Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain) :Hepatitis B (series and titer)Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)Varicella (Chickenpox)TB (Tuberculosis) testSeasonal Influenza (flu) vaccineCOVID-19 vaccine (if applicable) Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive eye exams and diagnose routine and complex visual or ocular conditionsProvide pre- and post-operative care for refractive procedures, including LASIK, PRK, and ICLPerform contact lens fittings, prescribe corrective lenses, and implement vision therapyIdentify and manage binocular vision disorders and neuromuscular impairmentsDeliver emergency eye care services, including treatment of trauma or acute pathologyPromote preventive care through education on eye health, hygiene, and protective measuresRefer patients requiring specialized or surgical intervention to appropriate providersAccurately document patient history, clinical findings, medication use, and treatmentsParticipate in interdisciplinary patient care planning, case reviews, and medical board evaluationsAssist with coordination and review of Limited Duty (LIMDU) boards for active-duty personnelProvide consultation and education to staff and community on eye health and visual conditionsWhy Join USGP?
