• Mental Health Specialist QMHP, Not Licensed : $5,000.00 Mental Health Specialist LPC / LMFT / LCSW Licensed : $7,500.00       Working Title : Mental Health Specialist Program : Enhanced Care Services- Adult Mental Health Report to : Clinical Services Manager Pay Range :           Level I : $ 5,125.83- 6,230.48 / Month         Level 2 : $ 5,433.38- 6,604.30 / Month         Level 3 : $ 5,759.38- 7,000.56 / Month Location : On-site, Hood River, Oregon (May serve Hood River, Wasco, and Sherman Counties) Hours / FTE : 1 FTE (37.5 hours).  FSLA Status : Exempt This Mental Health Specialist will support the Enhanced Care Services (ECS) program within the Adult Mental Health (AMH) department.
• This role will work closely with internal and community partner staff to provide integrated care to individuals who may be experiencing significant medical and / or psychiatric illnesses.
• The Mental Health Specialist provides culturally competent, appropriate, and trauma-informed crisis and behavioral health treatment for assigned clients.
• This position provides counseling and education for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Clients may present with a variety of issues including trauma histories, dysregulated behavior and / or emotions, suicidality, and difficult relationship dynamics.
• Interventions by the Mental Health Specialist may include Collaborative Problem Solving, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and a variety of other modalities.
• This role provides behavioral health services to other community agencies, coordinates behavioral health services with other community and State resources, and performs related work as required.
• This classification may support any one of the agency’s departments, including Adult Mental Health, Children and Family Services, Community Support Services, and Mobile Crisis.
• Incumbents must demonstrate cultural sensitivity and understanding of how culture influences and impacts behavioral health services while incorporating this understanding into trauma-informed care.
• Mid-Columbia Center for Living (MCCFL) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that specializes in providing services that are both trauma-informed and recovery-oriented to persons / consumers with mental illness and addictions.
• Trauma-informed care includes safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, cultural responsivity, and empowerment for both clients and staff.
• MCCFL serves Hood River, Wasco, and Sherman Counties and utilizes a consumer-involved, consumer-engaged, and consumer-driven model.
• MCCFL provides a whole-person care approach to adults and children to address both physical and mental health needs.
• MCCFL offers a variety of programs including a mobile crisis unit, intensive case management, ongoing counseling, community support, supported employment, jail diversion, hospital discharges, hearings, and more.
