POSITION SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
- Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.
- Performs radiologic procedures within the professional parameters established in registry requirements and policy and procedures specifications of University Health .
- Assumes responsibility for assigned duties promptly and efficiently.
- Complies with instructions from supervisor to whom responsible.
- Contributes to the overall success of the Radiology team.
- Maintains a good working relationship with co-workers and other University Health employees, patients and guests.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, or eligibility to take the registry with one year grace period for new graduates from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- Texas Department of Health (MRT) Certification or a temporary Certification (TMRT) is required.
- Must also have current Certified BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association.
