About The Position

Job Title : Surgical Tech

Shift : 12H Days

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (0630-1900) plus weekday call (1900-2300) and rotating weekend call

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Driver's license required

Certifications : BLS required, CST preferred but not required

Must-Have : Must have neuro and ortho experience as this is a significant number of cases.

Must have robotics experience.

Description :

Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the health system.

Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care.

Refusal to remove artificial nails will lead to termination of the contract.

Candidates must have 3's in all areas to submit, including ortho, neuro, GYN, eyes, ENT, and robotics.

Common cases include general surgeries such as bowel, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and gastrectomy.

Laparoscopic procedures include cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hysterectomy, hernia repairs, and colon surgeries.

Orthopedic cases involve total knees / hips, ORIF shoulder, and other fractures.

Neuro surgeries include ACDF, burr holes, case tumor resections, and shunts.

Pediatric cases may be encountered during emergency situations.

Experience with the Da Vinci Robot, stealth navigation, O-arm, and holmium lasers is required.

Shifts are either 8 or 12 hours, with periodic call requirements.

RTO must be provided upfront; additional requests will not be approved.

The facility can cancel shifts as outlined in cancellation policies.

The charting system used is EPIC.

This position does not require a BSN.

The care setting is acute, and the trauma level is 1.
