Position : Senior Tax Manager

Location : Wendell, NC (Hybrid - local candidates only)

Compensation : $125,000 - $150,000 per year

About the Opportunity

We're partnering with a well-established public accounting firm in Wendell, NC, known for its collaborative culture, flexible work environment, and strong client relationships. The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to lead its tax team and deliver exceptional compliance and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all aspects of tax compliance and planning for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.

Review complex tax returns for accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Provide proactive tax strategies and recommendations that align with client goals.

Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members to strengthen overall team performance.

Build long-term client relationships through trust, communication, and value-driven service.

Stay current with tax law updates and implement best practices within the firm.

Partner with firm leadership on strategic initiatives and business development.

Qualifications

Active CPA license (required)

Minimum 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting

Proven experience managing and mentoring a tax team

Strong technical knowledge of tax laws, research, and compliance

Excellent communication, analytical, and client advisory skills

Proficiency with UltraTax and Microsoft 365 preferred

Must be local to Wendell, NC or nearby areas
