Contracts Manager
Highly Stable & Growing Government Contractor
Compensation : $155k-175K base salary + 5–10% performance bonus
Clearance Required : Must be a U.S. citizen
Location : Reston, VA (4–5 days / week in office)
Reports to : COO
About the Role
We are seeking a Contracts Manager to lead and centralize the contracts function for a growing government contractor. This newly created position offers high visibility and ownership of the full contract lifecycle across federal engagements. You’ll work closely with delivery teams, operations, and executive leadership to ensure compliance and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage federal and commercial contracts, NDAs, consulting agreements, and subcontractor arrangements.
- Track milestones, ensure compliance, and support process development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with program managers, finance, and legal.
- Lead contract operations and support strategic initiatives like agreement refreshes and naming conventions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
8+ years of contracts experience in federal or commercial environments.Strong working knowledge of FAR / DFARS and federal acquisition processes.Experience with firm-fixed price contracts (no cost-reimbursable work).Comfortable in a high-velocity, hands-on environment—ideally from a small or mid-sized company.Certifications such as CFCM, CCCM, or CPCM are preferred.Background in defense contracting is a plus.Technically savvy, self-starter, and highly organized.Culture & Team
