About this Position

Primerica Mortgage is a dynamic business with significant growth potential. Our goal is to help our middle-income clients with their mortgage needs, grow our mortgage-licensed sales force and expand the geographic breadth of our reach.

We have partnered with a leading lender and implemented the latest generation of point-of-sale technology to support our mortgage-licensed representatives in building their mortgage business.

The Area Mortgage Sales Manager will work closely with a growing sales force of mortgage loan representatives within Arizona and surrounding states.

They will achieve sales and quality goals through effectively supporting, training, and motivating their assigned MLO team.

As the go to mortgage expert for the region, she / he will provide coaching, including : effective mortgage sales strategies, product knowledge, structuring loans, setting client expectations, taking accurate and quality loan applications.

This is an experienced financial service sales force, however most are new to the mortgage industry. Onboarding newly licensed mortgage loan originators to become confident and consistent producers, and advocates for mortgage will be a critical function of the role.

This requires patience, relationship building, and a teachers mentality.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

This is a remote position with responsibility for supporting a sales force that will expand into surrounding states like Utah, New Mexico, Nevada, and Colorado.

This position requires living in Arizona. Must be willing to be the qualified individual for Primerica Mortgage, LLC for the state.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration across the Company and offers opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our national lending partner and functional areas within Primerica to support the program
  • Coach and train mortgage-licensed representatives to ensure loan quality and compliance standards are maintained
  • Establish positive relationships and lead the sales activities of company affiliated mortgage licensed representatives
  • Develop / Execute overall market strategy to generate loan volume, market share, and profitability
  • Advocate for Primerica Mortgage in your assigned region but educating the field, and building a positive and exciting brand amongst Primerica agents.
  • Anticipate and work collaboratively to address challenges that may arise
  • Provide feedback and collaborate with the broader team to enhance the business
  • Keep informed of trends, changes and developments in the real estate market and regulatory environment
  • Stay informed of all origination, processing, appraisal, underwriting and closing requirements
  • Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures

  • Effective Communications : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
  • Customer Experience Management : Implement the strategies and techniques used to ensure that customers have a positive experience with the organization and its products and services at every touch point
  • Mortgage Products : Knowledge of and ability to coach and train internal staff and sales representatives including train the trainer with mortgage branch managers in the region

Qualifications

  • Must be an Arizona resident
  • Must be MLO licensed in Arizona, or willing to obtain the license within 30 days
  • Must have at least three years of mortgage experience within the last five years, either directly originating mortgage loans or directly supervising mortgage loan originators
  • No criminal history and a good credit background
  • Working knowledge of compliance, policy and federal regulations
  • Bachelors degree from four-year College or University preferred
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 15 - 30% of the time, most of which will be regional
  • Ability to be flexible when mortgage loan representatives need support during evenings and weekends
