Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic National Sales Manager to lead the charge in expanding our reach into BJ’s Wholesale Club . The Director of Sales will oversee client business within the BJ’s ecosystem, acting as a key strategic partner to both brand partners and BJ’s buyers. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing joint business plans, driving distribution and promotional excellence, and maximizing sell-in and sell-through performance.
This role requires a deep understanding of the club channel, BJ’s merchandising strategy, and the operational and financial nuances of managing CPG brands within a membership-based retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all BJ’s Wholesale Club sales and account management activities across assigned brand partners.
- Develop and execute joint business plans that align with BJ’s priorities and each brand’s strategic objectives.
- Drive distribution growth, item expansion, and promotional excellence through effective sell-in presentations, data insights, and relationship management.
- Partner with Category Management, Analytics, and Marketing teams to deliver actionable insights using syndicated data (SPINS, IRI, Numerator, BJ’s portal, etc.).
- Lead forecasting, promotional planning, and trade spend management to achieve volume, profit, and distribution goals.
- Provide strategic counsel to clients on pricing, packaging, and club-ready go-to-market approaches.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with BJ’s buying, replenishment, and merchandising teams.
- Monitor performance metrics (ACV, velocity, ROI, etc.) and deliver clear, data-supported performance recaps.
- Represent the company’s values and high standards of communication, responsiveness, and professionalism.
Qualifications
8+ years of sales or account management experience in CPG or retail brokerage managing BJ’s Wholesale Club.Proven track record of driving growth and building strategic retail relationships.Strong understanding of club channel economics, promotion mechanics, and pack configuration strategy.Skilled in sales analytics, forecasting, and trade management.Excellent communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills.Highly organized, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).Why Join Us
