Postal Reconciliation Clerk
Location : Dallas, TX
Pay Rate : $18-$20 / hr
Type : Temp-to-Hire
Reports To : Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a Postal Reconciliation Clerk to support our print and mail operations by preparing, tracking, and reconciling all postage-related funds and documentation. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and accountability within our direct mail production process.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and timeliness are key. Experience in the print or mailing industry or familiarity with USPS regulations is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review all postage-related paperwork and documentation.
Input and maintain accurate data across internal systems and spreadsheets.
Reconcile postage disbursements and monitor account balances for accuracy.
Prepare paperwork for commingled jobs and meter sheets for production.
Process check requests and verify supporting documentation.
Coordinate daily stamp requirements and communicate with USPS personnel.
Prepare and process paperwork for permit account funding and stamp purchases.
Review postage receipts, validate rates / classes / quantities, and distribute materials to production.
Scan and distribute copies of postal documents and checks to internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with customer service, management, and partners to resolve discrepancies or inquiries.
Maintain organized, auditable records for all postal and financial transactions.
Support additional projects and administrative functions as assigned.
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database entry.
Ability to learn quickly and retain new information.
Comfortable working under deadlines in a high-volume environment.
Prior experience in mail production, postal accounting, or logistics is a plus.
Knowledge of USPS postal regulations or mail reconciliation processes preferred.
