• Variety of Patient Care : You'll have the chance to work across multiple units, from general rehab to specialty and subacute care, offering a rich and varied clinical experience.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nAs a Registered Nurse (RN) at Siskin Hospital, you'll play a pivotal role in the following : \n
• Provide Compassionate Patient Care : Deliver hands-on nursing care through the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—ensuring the best possible outcomes for each patient. You'll work with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with tailored care that addresses their physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.\n
• Lead and Supervise : Oversee and guide nursing personnel such as LPNs, CNAs, volunteers, and students, ensuring high standards of patient care.\n
• Collaborate for Better Care : Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, and educate patients and families on health management, discharge plans, and post-care instructions.\n
• Be Prepared for Any Situation : Participate in emergency procedures, follow infection control protocols, and ensure that all procedures adhere to state and federal guidelines, including OSHA, JCAHO, CARF, and the Tennessee State Board of Nursing.\n\nQualifications & Skills\n
• Education : Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.\n
• Licensure : Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Tennessee.\n
• Experience : At least one year of experience in acute care is preferred, but we offer comprehensive orientation programs for those transitioning into the role.\n\nCertifications\n
• Current CPR certification.\n
• ACLS certification within one year of employment (preferred).\n
• CRRN certification is a plus (or eligibility to take the exam).\n\nSkills & Competencies\n
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills.\n
• Proficient in medication administration and patient safety protocols.\n
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on quality care.\n\nPhysical & Mental Requirements\n
• Ability to lift and assist with patient transfers exceeding 50 lbs and up to 200 lbs.\n
• Manual dexterity for performing delicate patient care tasks.\n
• Capacity to stand, walk, and concentrate for long periods with frequent interruptions.\n\nWorking Conditions\n
• Exposure to potentially hazardous materials, including blood, body tissue, and infectious diseases.\n
