Schedule

This position requires rotating shift schedules including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and charge duties as per unit needs.

Job Description

The Level 1 RN Psych will conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history. The nurse will plan and provide nursing care, make nursing diagnoses of the medical and emotional status of patients, and recommend treatment options. Collaborative consultation with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff will be essential in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients. The RN will administer psychotropic drugs and other medications, documenting reactions and patient information on medical charts while following physician orders and maintaining patient confidentiality.
