A sophisticated, results-driven law firm is seeking to add a Legal Secretary to their team. This firm has always been remote and you can live anywhere in California, the firm operates on Pacific Coast Time. The firm handles labor and employment, corporate, transactional, real estate and other general counsel services.
Requirements :
E-Filing and Court Procedures – Knowledge of federal and state court systems (CA), including electronic filing protocols; familiar with CA state court and federal court rules for formatting and filing.
Calendaring - experienced in working with litigation calendaring systems
Drafting and Proofreading – Assist in preparing pleadings, discovery and correspondence
Legal Research and Writing – Ability to carry out basic research and write
Case and Document Management – Organize case files, managing document productions, and track deadlines / calendaring
Discovery Process – Assist in preparing, reviewing, and managing discovery requests, responses, and productions
Attention to Detail – Adept at reviewing legal documents and ensuring compliance with deadlines and formatting.
Project Management – Ability to juggle multiple cases or projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively.
Key traits : organized, conscientious, team player, tech savvy (i.e. familiarity with legal software), strong communicator and personable
