The Hired Guns are seeking a Product Analyst Business Analyst for a top NYC-based Medical Center. The product you’ll map out will bring together Pre-K kids in New York City, their parents, educators, and health professionals so that they can build stronger learning environments at home and ultimately help kids reach their highest potential.

The Nitty Gritty

As Product Analyst Business Analyst, you’ll be working with a long-established child development program that helps parents and kids, in particular the economically disadvantaged, in developing the foundations for effective learning.

Your job will be to guide its evolution from a purely offline, in-person training program to a digitally-based train the trainers experience.

You’ll lead in-depth user research, analyze existing workflows, create storyboards and wireframes, and flesh out the product roadmap to a minimum viable product (MVP) that will deliver quick wins to the user audience and provide a platform for further learning and user needs assessment.

All the while, you’ll be working side-by-side with an experienced team that knows the offline child development program inside and out.

They’ll provide the knowledge of how the program works and what the outcomes should be. You’ll provide Agile project management rigor and digital know-how that will help you analyze existing workflows and behaviors and replicate them faithfully online using off-the-shelf collaboration tools that you’ll help implement and customize.

This role starts on a contract basis, but excellent performance will get you in the running for a fulltime role, so get your foot in the door of this opportunity to be a part of making NYC’s kids healthy and ready for success!

The Product Analyst Business Analyst we’re looking is someone relatively new to product management who’s looking for more ownership, or a Project Manager or Business Analyst with some exposure to product management who’s looking to make their first leap into a formal product role.

You’ve worked on online experiences for schools, non-profits, online education platforms, health and wellness, or similar organizations (and you’re definitively jazzed by about making a difference in people’s lives).

You’ve got a strong sense of what makes digital tools intuitive, engaging, yet highly functional for a non-technical audience.

It is absolutely essential that you have strong experience in user research and needs assessment, and that you know how to build product roadmaps.

You are great at documentation, storyboarding, and wireframing and are well versed in Agile and scrum methodologies.

You’re a collaboration machine with outstanding communication skills who can speak the language of users, stakeholders (the public health and non-profit folks who run the program), UXers, designers, and developers.
