Partnerships Manager
GivingTuesday is seeking a dynamic Partnerships Manager to support the growth and impact of our Data Commons network through strategic stakeholder engagement and multi-sector collaboration. As part of our Partnerships Team at the GivingTuesday Data Commons, this role is central to ensuring our knowledge products and insights are informed by practitioner needs and that the tools and resources we develop are adopted across our diverse network of sector stakeholders.
The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for nurturing a vibrant ecosystem of data commons communities through working groups, community management, scaled outreach initiatives, and collaborative data projects. This position requires someone who can rapidly grasp the big picture challenges of the social sector and understand how technology platforms, nonprofits, funders, researchers, and advocacy groups contribute to the broader philanthropic ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will be fascinated by research topics relevant to generosity and social impact (such as trends in donor behavior, emergent giving mechanisms, and data-driven approaches to philanthropy) and excited to facilitate investigation into these areas. They should be a skilled relationship builder with the ability to identify partner motivations and demonstrate how collaboration creates mutual benefits across diverse stakeholder groups.
In this role, you will :
- Support development of strategies for increasing working group participation, collaboration, and impact across our data commons communities, based on deep understanding of partner goals and sector dynamics
- Collaborate across GivingTuesday teams and with current partners to plan productive and outcome-oriented convenings, both virtual and in-person, that advance research priorities and foster meaningful connections
- Facilitate and manage online community engagement, including ongoing community operations (moderation, onboarding, resource sharing, listserv oversight) via newsletters and emerging digital platforms, as well as strengthening community participation through virtual meetings
- Support implementation of research projects by organizing stakeholders, collecting requirements, distilling areas of interest into specific research questions, and building collaborative frameworks and timelines
- Identify and cultivate new potential partners with aligned interests across technology platforms, financial services, nonprofits, academic institutions, and advocacy organizations
- Manage relationships with current partners to ensure progress on collaborative projects and maintain engagement across multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Establish and support new community-defined working groups that align with emerging sector needs and research priorities
- Seek opportunities to scale successful projects and identify pathways for broader sector adoption of insights and tools.
We are looking for someone with :
5+ years of relevant experience in partnership development, community management, stakeholder engagement, or R&D in private, public, or nonprofit organizationsOutstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent presentation and facilitation abilities and capacity to serve as an articulate advocate for the organizationComfortability with interpreting data, technical discussions related to data and research, and integrating insights from various sources and partner organizationsProven track record in relationship management, ideally with experience managing complex multi-stakeholder initiativesAbility to facilitate productive conversations and build consensus among diverse groups with varying priorities and perspectivesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilitiesUnderstanding of the nonprofit, philanthropic, or social impact sector with understanding of sector challenges and opportunitiesExperience managing virtual-first communities and remote collaboration, including proficiency with digital engagement strategies and online community platformsLocation Details : Remote
Work Hours :
We are looking for candidates who can overlap with a 9 : 00 to 5 : 00 EST workday for at least 4 hours per day.
Salary Range :
$90,000 to $105,000 CAD
