Histology job opportunity in San Diego, CA!

• The schedule for this opportunity is Tuesday - Saturday 12 : 00 pm - 8 : 30 pm.
• Working under general direction to precisely and accurately conduct a variety of routine and specialized histology procedures.
• Researching, troubleshooting, and resolving histology related inquiries and problems within the laboratory.
• This position requires you to produce the highest quality of microtomy, tissue grossing, tissue processing, and H&E staining, and equipment maintenance
• Preparing microscopic slides on human tissue for research / diagnostic purposes, including processing, embedding, microtomy, and mounting to include paraffin processed tissue
• Quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Slide organization, prepares and maintains all necessary reagents, including stains, alcohols, and paraffins according to proper specifications
• Processing specimen accessioning to include all manual and computerized data entry
• Performing routine and non-routine activities involved in the preparation of slides for microscopic evaluation by a pathologist(s) according to established SOP’s
• Performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment in designated area. This includes cleaning equipment, minor troubleshooting and reporting any irregularities in operation to supervisor / manager

$32—$36 USD
