Job Summary
As a vital member of the clinical team, you will perform patient care duties within the scope of your certification, assist with treatments and procedures, and facilitate efficient patient flow. Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient care tasks accurately and timely, following providers' orders.
- Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring all necessary consents are obtained.
- Notify patients of test results as directed by providers.
- Document patient complaints, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Administer immunizations under supervision, adhering to legal guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and manage electronic health documentation daily.
- Coordinate referrals and ensure timely processing of consults, exams, and diagnostics.
- Stock exam rooms, manage sample medications, and maintain infection control standards.
- Support a clean and safe clinical environment in collaboration with environmental services.
- Engage in ongoing learning, teamwork, and uphold professional and ethical standards.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.Licenses and Certifications
Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.Skills and Abilities
