What We Are Looking For :

Aspida Re Services is looking to fulfill the duties of an Operations Analyst. The incumbent will play an integral part of the team, with responsibility for assisting in all aspects of operations work performed including asset verification, compliance monitoring, reconciliations reserving, and modeling of products, This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

What You Will Do :

  • Monitor and analyze investment portfolios to develop an understanding of positioning and how the team can enhance portfolios to support the objectives of Aspida Re Services.
  • Complete cedent reconciliations monthly including reinsurance settlement support.
  • Execute on periodic hedging activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations detailing analysis findings, investment review and portfolio performance.
  • Evaluate and reconcile each portfolio on a monthly basis.
  • Evaluate the Aspida Re Services portfolio with regards to BMA ESG requirements.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new Cedents.
  • Support regulatory filings, management and business partners reports.
  • Attend client meetings, supporting and write business technical papers.
  • Complete ad hoc and special projects assigned on a timely basis.

What We Require :

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, statistics, economics, accounting or similar numerical subject.
  • CIMA designation is preferred.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in asset management with exposure to fixed income and credit investing.
  • Exposure to insurance capital rules and investment accounting processes and procedures preferred (RBC, BSCR).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential with strong analytical acumen.
  • Ability to work well in a lean team environment, often under pressure.
  • Excellent work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good judgment, and positive attitude.
  • Strong technical skills, including Excel and Bloomberg knowledge and working knowledge of Clearwater would be helpful.
