Position Summary : The staff Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA / OTA) functions under the general supervision of the physical medicine lead and under the direct supervision of the therapist responsible for a specific patients care. The staff COTA / OTA assumes responsibility and accountability for providing modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an occupational therapist and in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies while maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care.

Qualifications :

Education, Training, Experience and Licenses / Registrations Required :

1. Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA / OTA)

2. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
