Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Location : Garden City, KS 67846 (Kansas healthcare job) Unit : OB Postpartum / Labor & Delivery Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse, On-Site Contract Length : 12 weeks Start Date : October 27, 2025 End Date : January 17, 2026 Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3x12 hour shifts per week) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $2410 - $2580 Floating : May be required within 60 miles or to other hospital units as needed Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or a participating NLC state (required) Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN certification (required) Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (preferred) Strong clinical nursing skills specific to labor and delivery Ability to float to other units or healthcare facilities as needed Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and review of medical records Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team Demonstrate competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection Advocate for and protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient Provide patient and family education, assess learning readiness, and evaluate teaching effectiveness Deliver compassionate, relationship-based care that respects patient preferences and needs Delegate appropriately to non-RN personnel in accordance with Kansas state and hospital policy Serve as a professional role model and mentor for new staff and nursing students Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and nursing research activities Maintain professional records and pursue ongoing nursing education opportunities Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Garden City, Kansas, and make a difference in maternal and newborn care!
