Summary

The Wound Healing Center is an outpatient Wound Healing clinic located on the 2nd floor in the main tower at Parkview Randallia. The clinic sees patients with non-urgent, chronic, non-healing wounds, for example diabetic foot ulcers. The RN's in this unit work with Physicians and Nurse Practitioners to perform procedures and care for patient wounds. The goal is to keep these patients out of the hospital. Responsible for assisting Registered Nurses with care and assessment all age groups within the Standard of Care set by Parkview Health System and Indiana Nurse Practice Act.

Education

Must be a graduate of a school of nursing. Must complete General Orientation, Patient Care Orientation, and unit specific orientation as provided and required.

Licensure / Certification

Valid Indiana Licensed Practice Nurse license. Must have current CPR certification. Additional certifications may be required for specific areas. For Peds department, must have PALS within 6 months. ED at Randallia and PRMC : ACLS and PALS both required within 1 year. Randallia ED : NVCI required within 6 months. Current co-workers have until 11 / 5 / 2020 to obtain NVCI.

Experience

Demonstrate experience in customer service, establishing priorities, and working independently.

Other Qualifications

Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and assist with 100 lbs.
