About the Role

Circular Services INC is seeking an experienced, full-time, and hands-on Controller for our dynamic, fast-growing organics group of entities. The Controller will have primary day-to-day responsibility for managing all financial-related activities of the Company's businesses : to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance for multiple entities within a corporate group. This position will report directly to the VP Accounting of Corporate and Growth and Organics Department, and the senior management team.

Responsibilities

Key duties include consolidating financial statements, ensuring adherence to accounting standards like GAAP, managing company-wide audits, and providing financial analysis to senior leadership for strategic planning.

More specific attributes of the role include, but are not limited to :

• Financial Reporting and Consolidation : Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements by consolidating results from various operating companies.
• Budgeting and Planning : Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor financial plans against actual results, identifying and explaining variances.
• Internal Controls : Establish, implement, and monitor internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Audit Coordination : Oversee and coordinate all internal and external audit activities.
• Financial Analysis : Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Compliance : Ensure financial reporting and operations comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), or other relevant standards.
• Strategic Partnership : Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CFO and other senior leaders, contributing to long-term financial and operational strategies.
