About The Position
Submission Requirements : Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years Individual unit requirements listed in pulse apply. Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email Interventional Radiology - Cover both vascular and neuro. Certs : ARRT(R), BLS Required. ACLS preferred. Radiation badge : Required to be provided to traveler by agency; facility will not provide. Schedule : M-F 8-430 WITH call. call requirements : 1-2 shifts per week, PLUS every 3rd or 4th weekend. Possible holiday call. 30 minute call back time. Scrub Color : Scrubs provided For Neuro we are looking for above average in all of the following : cerebral's, coiling's, Kyphoplasty, spine work, stroke therapy, and carotid stenting. Core Duties : 1. Monitors and interprets Hemodynamic monitoring. 2. Observes sterile technique while assembling supplies necessary for physicians and other lab personnel involved to scrub and enter the lab without infraction 100% of the time. 3. Maintains the confidentiality of the patient and unit information, without infraction, as monitored by supervision. 4. Prepares entry site applicable to the procedure using sterile technique 5. Continuously monitors patient s ECG and blood pressure while documenting and advising the physician of any and all activity in an accurate and timely manner and providing documentation that will become part of the patient s permanent record. 6. Participates in the on-call rotation of the laboratory and remains available for emergent procedures 24 hours a day. 7. Acts as the laboratory s code team by initiating resuscitative measures and cardiac defibrillators under the direct supervision of the physician in charge. 8. Correctly documents all procedures performed and utilizes the inventory control system that is established. Correctly bills for all procedures. 9. Participates in educational and in-service opportunities. 10. Instructs radiography students in the clinical setting with regard to patient positioning, technique selection, manipulation of equipment and the use of accessory devices to obtain Radiographic images. 11. Maintains specialization in Neuroradiology and Vascular IR procedures. 12. Participates in Inventory Management of the department. 13. Checks and prepares patient prior to procedure. 14. Participates in performance improvement activities.
