About The Position
Job Summary (List Format) :
- Position : Interventional Radiology Technologist (Vascular & Neuro focus)
- Location : Morgantown, WV
- Compensation : $3,668 weekly ($1,246 stipend included)
- Schedule : 4x10 hour days (M-F 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm); On-call : 1-2 shifts / week plus every 3rd or 4th weekend, possible holiday call (30-minute callback time)
- Contract Length : 13 weeks, Start ASAP
- Scrubs : Provided by facility (specific color not required)
- Certifications Required : ARRT(R), BLS (ACLS preferred)
- Radiation Badge : Must be provided by traveler s agency
- Key Skills / Experience :
- Must be highly proficient in neuro procedures : cerebral angiograms, coiling, kyphoplasty, spine work, stroke therapy, carotid stenting
- Must cover both vascular and neuro interventional procedures
- Core Duties :
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data
- Maintain sterile technique during procedures
- Prepare and monitor patients throughout procedures (ECG, BP)
- Advise physicians of patient status and document accurately
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergent procedures
- Initiate resuscitation measures under physician supervision
- Document procedures and manage inventory / billing
- Participate in educational, in-service, and performance improvement activities
- Instruct radiography students in clinical and technical skills
- Specialize and maintain expertise in Neuroradiology and Vascular IR
- Check and prepare patients prior to procedures
- Other Requirements :
- Must live 50+ miles from facility (driver s license must show this)
- Previous perm staff must have been gone for 2+ years
- Previous travelers must have been gone for 2+ years if assignment lasted 1 year
- Only one submission allowed across the WVU system at a time
- Travel teams must be submitted together
Summary :
Seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist proficient in both vascular and advanced neuro procedures for a 13-week contract in Morgantown, WV. Duties include monitoring hemodynamics, maintaining sterile technique, preparing and monitoring patients, participating in on-call rotations, instructing students, and maintaining department inventory and documentation.
