Here at AFC Urgent Care in Willowbrook and Naperville, we are looking for only the best for our patients. We are now seeking a Nurse Practitioner to become a part of the team. You will focus on providing high-quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.


Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• Help when needed with IV Therapy.
• Procedures
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicate with the collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Documentation in Detail of the Medical Symptoms and Complaints
• Avoid Diagnosis Codes that are not accepted by insurance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership qualities

Requirements:

• Master's degree in nursing from PA School.
• Current state nurse practitioner or PA license.
• Understands HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
• Able to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and other nurses.
• Must hold RN and APN licensing.
• Holds NP or PA certification through any of the following organizations:
  • American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center
  • Certification Board for Urologic Nurses and Associates
  • National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties
  • Pediatric Nurse Certification Board
