Under the general direction of the Director of Facilities Management, the Painter's duties include but are not limited to the maintenance and repairs of walls, doors, door frames, drywall repairs, painting, and wall coverings. Performs routine maintenance tasks during wall preparations and paintings, such as ceiling tiles, flooring, laminate repairs, and light bulbs.

• Maintain awareness of own limitations and seek guidance from appropriate personnel as needed.
• Prioritize activities of self-based on demands for service.
• Remain alert to the detection of errors in own work and the work of others with appropriate corrective actions initiated.
• Demonstrate an understanding of patient rights, including those pertaining to confidentiality, informed decision-making, and privacy.
• Be aware of resources available for ethical concerns and make appropriate referrals.
• Practice cost-efficiently.
• Perform technical skills proficiently in accordance with established standards, as evidenced by annual validation processes.
• Utilize specialized knowledge and skill to perform job requirements.
• Prepare materials needed in advance for scheduled jobs to prevent the return to the department or supplier for parts or tools.
• Consistently demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes in the workload or assignments.
• Demonstrate reliability in the conscientious and complete way work assignments are performed.
• Maintain work area in a manner conductive to efficiency and safety; clean and organize department on own initiative.
• Consistently demonstrate competence in the day-to-day scheduling of duties by completing all priority and related tasks on time with little additional assistance required from others.
• Demonstrate reliability and make every attempt to consistently report to work on time at the start of the assigned shift.
• When requested, be always willing to adjust personal schedule to complete workload, prepare for an inspection or special project.
