Janitorial Worker
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor/Environment Service Technician to help maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of our medical services facility campus.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, floors, doors, and high-touch surfaces.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep/mop hard floors, and buff as needed.
- Dust furniture, appliances, and surfaces (high and low).
- Remove trash and replenish restroom supplies.
- Maintain janitorial equipment and safely handle cleaning chemicals.
- Communicate effectively with staff, tenants, and visitors (majority of cleaning is done after business hours).
- Walk comfortably outside between buildings (multiple individual buildings onsite).
- Perform other cleaning duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in cleaning, floor care, housekeeping, janitorial, floor maintenance, sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- At least 1 year of janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Knowledge of modern cleaning practices and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, climbing, standing, etc.

Work Environment:
Work is performed in various facility types, including office space and medical facility space. Physical activity is required throughout the shift, including standing and walking between buildings. Employees will use vacuums, brooms, mops, cleaning chemicals, and other cleaning tools/supplies. The facility is climate-controlled, with six buildings onsite, shared between 12 team members.
Shift: 5:00pm - 1:00am & Monday - Friday

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hampton, VA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $15.37 - $15.37/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
