Senior Vice President, Market Access

At Lumanity, we are uniquely leveraging depth in scientific and clinical understanding together with intimate knowledge of commercial stakeholder needs to build fit-for-purpose solutions and strategies for a very broad range of projects across the pharma and biotech product life cycles, ranging from pre-commercial strategies and pipeline prioritization all the way through product / brand support for asset optimization and expansion.

Responsibilities / Position Overview

We are seeking intellectually curious, team-oriented individuals eager to roll up their sleeves to serve in a leadership role as Senior Vice President, with a focus on market access, and help biopharma clients navigate their most complex challenges as they seek to bring innovative technologies to market and the patients in need.

In this leadership role, the SVP will provide company, people, project, and business development expertise through strategic leadership of the Strategy Consulting business and its continued evolution as part of the Lumanity organization, business generation, intellectual leadership within the project and client relationship context, and coaching and development of the next generation leaders.

Primary responsibilities include :

  • Provide proactive executive leadership to case teams to support client engagement and delivery
  • Identify growth opportunities with existing clients
  • Act as a valued thought leader to support strategic discussions with senior-level clients beyond the scope of case work and specific business development discussionsSupport the development of long-term growth plans; identifying potential business categories and growth strategies
  • Consistent, sustained revenue generation, leading both current and new account development
  • Lead the scoping, development and delivery of proposals for clients
  • Actively owns and further builds a broad and diverse professional network
  • Develop and maintain capability communication materials to offer deep insights, innovative solutions, and impactful product offerings
  • Advance internal thought leadership across functional or therapeutic areas within life sciences
  • Provide a steady stream of perspectives and insight updates on the latest news, trends, and direction of key industry topics to key members of the Strategy Consulting team
  • Mentor and coach junior staff, as well as encourage engagement with business development
  • Participate in the ongoing management and development of staff
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the business
  • Be a positive and active contributor to management meeting discussions
  • Effective collaboration with experts across business practice areas within the broader Lumanity organization, leveraging access to broad capabilities of the organization to best service our collective clients and provide learning and growth opportunities for our team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (required); advanced degree (preferred)
  • 18+ years experience within a life sciences consultancy, with deep market access expertise.
  • Deep understanding of biopharmaceutical R&D, patient services, and product lifecycle processes and technologies.
  • Experience leading teams, clients, and vendors using your exceptional team building, mentoring, people development and management skills.
  • Experience working with Life Sciences R&D and Commercial professionals applying excellent client-facing communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working on and owning a defined portion of a consulting projects, and a demonstrated ability to manage issues and risks
  • Experience developing research and evaluation plans that adhere to industry best practices, as well as leverage recent innovations in the field of statistics, data science, data visualization, and data management while ensuring that objectives are achieved, results are accurate, and recommendations are actionable.
  • Successful history of effectively managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets to meet client needs and contract specifications.
  • Excellent conceptual skills and ability to draw relevant strategic recommendations
  • Ability to understand and clearly convey complex scientific, economic, and commercial data
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Occasional travel as needed for client meetings and presentations
