Overview
Strategy & Operations (Senior) Manager, Commerce at Whatnot. This role reports into the Commerce Strategy & Operations team and drives business decisions across post-purchase operations, logistics, payments, user experience, trust and fraud.
Base pay range : $160,000.00 / yr - $245,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commerce strategies that drive margin optimization and / or growth across the post-purchase experience
- Manage cross-functional commerce projects in close partnership with the product and engineering teams
- Identify inefficiencies in processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs
- Analyze commerce data to provide insights and recommendations
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in strategy and operations roles (e.g., consulting, finance, GM, Operations)Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferredExcellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong understanding of commerce operations and process optimizationProficient in data analysis and reporting toolsExceptional leadership and team management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to think strategically and execute methodicallyExperience with SQL and analytics tools like Looker, Sigma, HexLocation
Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA, or San Francisco, CA hubs.
