A prominent healthcare organization is seeking a Corporate Director of Accounts Payable to lead its accounts payable operations from the corporate headquarters in Valley Stream, NY. Required : MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING FOR NURSING HOME / LONG TERM CARE ORGANIZATION

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and oversee full-cycle accounts payable operations across a multi-location healthcare network.
• Manage and mentor an experienced AP team, promoting performance, growth, and accountability.
• Review and reconcile vendor accounts; resolve discrepancies with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for vendor relationships and issue resolution.
• Continuously evaluate and improve AP workflows and systems to increase scalability and efficiency.
• Manage AP-related month-end close activities including accruals and general ledger reconciliations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams on strategic initiatives.
• Support audits, process automation projects, and system enhancements.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounts payable or financial operations.

At least 2 years in a leadership, supervisory, or managerial capacity.

Proficiency in RHS Visual EMR is required.

Strong grasp of AP best practices, process controls, and ERP systems.

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Proven ability to lead teams in high-volume, fast-paced environments.

Prior experience in long-term care, nursing homes, or healthcare finance is strongly preferred.
