General Manager Position

Xylem is seeking a seasoned General Manager to oversee a division supporting the North America region. This senior leadership role carries full Profit & Loss responsibility of around 300-500M in revenue and is focused on driving commercial success, operational excellence, and strategic growth.

Strategic Leadership

  • Identify and evaluate market opportunities across North America.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with global operating divisions to align business plans.
  • Lead sales planning, budgeting, and target-setting processes.
  • Recommend strategic partnerships and expansion opportunities.

Client & Partner Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Champion outcome-based selling strategies.
  • Represent the division externally with clarity and vision.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and support.

    • Operational Oversight

  • Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Lead demand planning and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Own and manage the division's financial performance.
  • Support digital transformation and future-of-work initiatives.

    • Team Development

  • Build high-performing teams across sales, operations, and support functions.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Develop future leaders and promote talent mobility.
  • Champion performance metrics and continuous improvement.

    • Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 710 years of senior leadership experience with P&L ownership.
  • Proven success in sales, strategy, and operational management.
  • Experience with capital projects and long-term service contracts.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead across regions and manage remote teams.
  • High ethical standards and a results-driven mindset.

    • Additional Details

  • Travel requirement : Approximately 50%.
