Working closely with the NICU, PICU, PCICU, and Pediatric Emergency Department, the Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Team provides transport services from our referring hospitals to our tertiary care center. We provide specialized neonatal and pediatric transport services for children who require expert medical care at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Our transport team receives specialized training for assisting with deliveries of neonates, managing respiratory distress, congenital heart disease, and complex pediatric diagnosis. Our patients receive unique care that is delivered in a pediatric friendly ambulance that has specialized, age-appropriate equipment. Our transport program emphasizes teamwork and focuses quality and safety for both our internal and external customers..
