Division Supplier Development Manager
Manages the work transfer process, resolves chronic shortages and uses a variety of predictive analytic tools to identify and mitigate risk. This position will collaborate cross functionally with peers from other divisions and with group leadership. Responsible for embracing and driving lean enterprise systems throughout the procurement process. May work directly on-site with suppliers.
This role is responsible for the supplier development for the entire division, large site(s), or numerous value streams. Position will directly report to the Division Supply Chain Manager. This role will interact with all levels of Division management, including operational, engineering, quality control, marketing, lean, program management and finance. May supervise supplier development personal and outside contract services. Key supplier and key customer contact required.
Essential functions include working collaboratively with division supply chain team to reduce chronic shortages and systematic issues within the supply base. Leads cross functional HPT to create work transfer velocity and reduce chronic shortages. Provides oversight and leadership to division / contract field resources in support of the objectives of the cross functional HPT. Represent the division and collaborate with peers at other divisions and group. Proactively work with Division Supply Chain Team to seek out continuous improvement opportunities. Demonstrate strong leadership skills through engaging suppliers and peers to achieve common goals. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time. Collaborates with the business unit or division to establish preferred supplier selection criteria based on evaluations of supplier price, quality, delivery, certifications, and compliance with governmental procurement regulations. Works with suppliers to develop and manage continuous improvement programs, addressing quality, delivery, service as well as price. Develops and benchmarks best practices among the Divisions suppliers and maintain accurate measurements and records for evaluation of suppliers. Travel requirement : 20% annually.
Education : Required Bachelors Degree (4 Year) in Supply Chain or Operations Management, Business, Engineering or Other. Advanced degree such as MBA preferred. Experience working in or with Operations, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing disciplines is a plus. Minimum 4 years of increasing leadership responsibility within manufacturing operations requiring advanced project planning, supplier oversight and team organizational skills.

Thorough understanding of production technology, and / or specialty support areas including broad knowledge of business and regulatory environments and trends.
