A day in the life of a Patient Safety Sitter at Hackensack Meridian Health includes :

• Responsible for the safety of patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Observes patient status for changes in behavior and reports all observations to the Registered Nurse
• Ensures patient safety by providing a safe environment, observes the patient's environments for safety risks and takes necessary steps to reduce the risk.
• Applies appropriate interventions : Observe, redirect, diversional activities.
• Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.
• Ensures positive patient and team interactions by promoting HMH core beliefs and standards of
• Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy and dignity.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications :

Compensation : Starting at $17.12 Hourly HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.
