Job descriptionProvide screening, assessment and crisis intervention services via telehealth to adult members of the community who are referred by local police. Determine the appropriate level of care and services needed, and the least restrictive setting in which those services can be provided. Crisis screening services will be available 24 hours each day, including holidays and weekends. Must be available to respond immediately to crisis calls during scheduled on-call hours. They will share on-call responsibilities during business hours with other ABH team members and will assist with after-hours on-call coverage on a voluntary basis as their individual schedules allow. Responsible to provide crisis intervention and ongoing mental health treatment services to ABH clients who are receiving intensive case management services, including those who are on active Assisted Outpatient Treatment orders and those deemed Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity. Services are delivered in-person in the office or community and / or via telehealth. Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling and possess the corresponding State of Michigan licensure. - Required Must obtain the Qualified Mental Health Professional and Substance Abuse Treatment Specialist (SATS) credentials within 120 days of hire. Must possess a CAADC credential, or be on an active, approved registered MCBAP certification Development Plan within six weeks of hire. Upon hire, the application must be submitted for the Development Plan to MCBAP, with or without the required trainings, within 30 days of hire, or they will not be permitted to provide services. Documentation of required trainings must be submitted with the Development Plan Application or within 90 days of hire. Must have the ability to engage adults diagnosed with serious mental illness and / or substance use disorders, their families and supporters. Candidates must have the ability to provide trauma-informed care and appropriately handle crisis situations. Must be able to use technology competently, demonstrate effective organizational, verbal and written communication skills, and work independently. Additional requirements include a nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of adults with mental illness and / or substance use disorders, their families and providers. LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC or LLP.
