Job description

Join our mission to help individuals with mental illness to lead healthy and productive lives as a Peer Recovery Supporter . Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) has an immediate opening for a full-time Peer Recovery Supporter. To provide peer support services. Our Peer recovery supporters engage with clients both in person and through community outreach. Peer recovery supporters use personal experience to support, guide, and encourage others in recovery. The ideal candidate will be a current or past consumer of Mental health services .

    • Position Responsibilities :

  • Assist potential clients with setting up services through daily walk-ins for open-access intake assessments

  • Researches and develops community resources in response to identified client needs

  • Serves as a liaison between the consumers, care managers, and therapists

  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities; serves as a positive role model for clients.

  • Engage with clients by phone and in person to offer support and guidance

    • Position Requirements :

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Current or past consumer of community Mental health services.
  • Willingness to self-identify as being in recovery and share personal journey to support and benefit program members.
  • Basic computer knowledge
