The Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Practice Assistant to provide onsite administrative support for our Family Medicine team at our Riverwalk location in Lawrence, MA.

The desired schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a professional manner.
• Register patient and check insurance eligibility using the appropriate eligibility system.
• Obtain appropriate co-payment for service.
• Answer telephones promptly and courteously, using the Pentucket Medical standard 3-part greeting.
• Transfer, conference and park calls as appropriate.
• Route calls according to department protocol.
• Access, understand and accurately make appointments using the scheduling screens within the appropriate system.
• Oversee waiting area and ensure that all patients are checked in.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Education :
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience :
• A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Previous experience in a medical office environment preferred.
• Skills :
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred
