Analyst, Human Resources Data (1st Shift) - REMOTE
Overview :
Reporting to Senior Manager of HR Ops and Compliance, the HR Data Analyst will be responsible for providing high quality data support services for APL Logistics CLS, focused on employee data quality control, audit support, monthly KPI reports, and regulatory reporting.
The incumbent must be well versed at using data to tell a story that drives improved company performance. The Analyst will also participate in special projects to support testing and data file integrations.
Information and issues involve confidential and sensitive information.
Responsibilities :
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following :
Data Reporting & Governance Collects and compiles KPIs and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, new hire and exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors’ practices, and other sources Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, retention, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations Prepares data summaries, changes, and trends for HR Regional Managers Deliver high quality, timely, accurate and relevant regular and ad hoc HR data reporting and analytics.
Regular reporting includes annual compliance activities such as AAP, EEO-1, VETS-4212, etc.. Audit data to maintain integrity throughout various human resource information systems.
Support and respond to Internal and external audits Research, troubleshoot and resolving issues based on unexpected results or process flaws Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
Partner with Global HRIT to establish data governance guidelines to be adopted globally
System & Process Support Requires an overall understanding of interconnectivities between systems Optimize, implement, and communicate new data processes and systems Participate in review, testing and implementation of system changes and upgrades Research, troubleshoot and resolving issues based on unexpected results or process flaws Ability to build action plans, communicate with internal and external partners, and follow through with actionable items

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analytics
- Ability to analyze data, make decision and articulate / present information
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, orally and in writing
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization providing analysis
- Ability to work with confidentiality, leading projects and meeting deadlines
- Strong work ethic and sense of ownership

Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.
The typical starting salary range for this position is : $56,840 - $65,000.
The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits.
