Job Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform various treatments, documenting all procedures in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment to make informed patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer both over-the-counter and prescription medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).Current New York State Registered Nurse license.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.Knowledge of quality concepts and principals, with the ability to apply them effectively for continuous improvement in patient care.Thank you for considering joining Albany Medical Center!
