From the team behind Fellows Cafe comes From the Well , a neighborhood market and artisan bakery located where Cherry meets Green St. Our menu, space, and offerings evolve with the seasons and the needs of our community. Everything we do is rooted in the belief that simple, high-quality food brings people together. The FTW ethos is about creating a space that feels intentional and inspiring, where craft, care, and shared experience shape everyday life.
We specialize in naturally leavened, hand-shaped breads and a rotating selection of comfort-forward baked goods, including orange rolls, scones, muffins, cookies, and nostalgic favorites made with seasonal and local ingredients. We are building something warm, grounded, and beautiful, and we are looking for a few more bakers to join our team.
Responsibilities and Expectations Core Responsibilities
Mix, shape, and bake naturally leavened breads
Maintain and feed sourdough starters
Produce daily batches of rolls, scones, muffins, cookies, and other baked goods
Develop and adjust recipes based on seasonality
Ensure consistent quality and presentation
Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and organized
Maintain clear communication with all teams
Support and help guide a positive kitchen culture
Skills and Requirements
At least a year of professional artisan bread baking or pastry experience
Strong understanding of fermentation, shaping, and proofing
Experience with scratch baking of simple pastries
Able to work independently and efficiently
Early morning and weekend availability (5 : 00 AM start)
Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for full shifts
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Authorized to work in the United States and 18 years of age or older
