Our client is seeking a dynamic Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join their Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. This role is pivotal in providing clinical leadership, ensuring superior patient care, standardizing clinical protocols, and contributing to the successful recruitment and retention of clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Leadership : Oversee the development and implementation of clinical standards from hiring to ongoing employment to ensure clinical competency.
• Education and Competency : Ensure continuous clinical education to support staff development and maintain competencies.
• Internal Controls : Develop and support controls to ensure effective and efficient policy adherence and operation.
• Problem-Solving : Coordinate activities and resolve issues related to clinical competencies, enhancing care delivery, reducing costs, and improving outcomes.
• Technology Integration : Promote and implement technology to streamline operations and optimize work processes.
• Quality Meetings : Participate in health care QAPI, risk management, and other quality-related meetings.
• Patient Complaints : Oversee the review, investigation, and response to patient complaints.
• Risk Evaluation : Proactively evaluate clinical risk areas and implement safety strategies and policies.
• Occurrence Reporting : Promote reporting processes, identify problem areas, and facilitate prevention initiatives.
• Regulatory Compliance : Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, standards, and policies.
• Evidence-Based Culture : Establish and enhance a culture of evidence-based decision-making in clinical and management initiatives.

Requirements

Education :

• Master’s degree in a healthcare-relevant field with significant senior management / leadership experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-relevant field with significant management / leadership experience will be considered.

Experience :

• Leadership experience in an integrated delivery system / continuing care environment.
• Experience in developing and evaluating best practices and emerging trends for organizational applicability and appropriateness.
