Job Title : Electrical EngineerJob Description
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to work on wall power products. This role involves working with simple touch screens for internet and streaming services, as well as connectors, wiring, and UL testing. The position requires managing outsourced software development and circuit board work, collaborating with vendors, and creating new features and improvements.
Responsibilities
Manage the design, development, and testing of analog, digital, and embedded control systems for new products.
Collaborate with outsourced designers and vendors.
Test Windows / Linux / Android-based software applications for product integration.
Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, and CE standards for products.
Source and validate new components in collaboration with vendors.
Support the sales department by providing feedback on product upgrades and options.
Build test fixtures and interface them with external hardware or PCs.
Troubleshoot and resolve production and field service issues.
Design and source wiring, connectors, and schematics for power and signal cables.
Test Bluetooth, CAN bus, and Wi-Fi communications.
Test and collaborate on servo motor / encoder systems improvements with vendors.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
3+ years of experience in electronic / electrical design.
Experience with microcontrollers and embedded firmware.
Familiarity with data bus architectures such as I2C, SPI, USB, and CAN.
Strong troubleshooting skills for electronic circuits and PCBs.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with transformers, 5v / 12v / 24v power supplies, fusing, and EMC filters.
Experience in testing Bluetooth, CAN bus, and Wi-Fi communications.
Experience with testing and developing improvements for servo motor / encoder systems.
Work Environment
This is a first-shift position, fully onsite, with a flexible 40-hour work week. The facility operates from 6 AM to 5 PM, with work shifts starting at 6, 7, or 8 AM. Expect minimal travel, up to 5%, for trade shows or UL testing. The role includes walking on treadmills for testing purposes. The company has a team of 10 engineers within a new, clean manufacturing facility with approximately 100 employees.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00 / yr.
