We are looking for a skilled Sales Tax / Indirect Tax Accountant to join our team in Concord, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in managing tax compliance, ensuring accurate reporting, and contributing to the company's overall financial integrity. This position offers an opportunity to leverage your expertise in corporate and indirect taxes while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review corporate income and sales tax returns to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct tax research and provide insights to support decision-making processes and ensure adherence to evolving tax laws.
• Collaborate with internal teams to complete annual income tax provisions and related documentation.
• Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and minimize liabilities.
• Assist in audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities with timely and accurate information.
• Maintain detailed records of tax filings and compliance activities for organizational reference.
• Monitor changes in tax regulations and implement necessary adjustments to the company’s tax processes.
• Support the preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Work closely with external consultants or auditors to facilitate smooth tax reporting and compliance processes.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff on tax-related matters and best practices.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate tax or indirect tax accounting.
• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax and sales / use tax regulations.
• Experience with annual tax provision preparation and compliance reporting.
• Proficiency in tax research and analysis tools.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Familiarity with tax software and financial systems is preferred.
