Purpose of Position:
We are currently seeking a Value Stream Leader responsible for overseeing the entire value stream process, from raw materials to the delivery of finished products to customers. Your duties will include identifying opportunities for process improvement, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and driving a culture of continuous improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency. Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking key performance metrics and ensuring that production goals are met. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, and a proven track record of driving process improvements.
Essential Duties and/or Functions: - Supervise and coordinate the processes and activities of workers engaged in fabrication, assembly and processing of product
- Responsible for meeting business goals for Safety, Quality, Utilization, Delivery and Staff for the entire value stream
- Take corrective action for processes that are not meeting the goals.
- Continually work to streamline end to end process by eliminating waste and employing lean practices.
- Must be able to cross collaborate and interact throughout the entire supply chain.
- Train employees in the safe operation of equipment and all other elements needed to effectively complete their work.
- Responsible for monitoring employee performance and providing regular feedback.
- Monitor productivity ensuring that process output, quality and workmanship meet established standards.
- Monitor and continually reduce scrap and/or rework.
- Regularly report productivity, efficiency, OEE, FPY, utilization, scrap, rework and other KPIs
- Participate during new product planning to ensure readiness for product launches.
- Coordinate with Maintenance as needed to prevent unplanned downtime.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area via 5S methodology.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
- Ensure that materials are managed and reported accurately.
Required Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma/GED required (degree or relevant professional certification is preferred but not required with commensurate experience)
- 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment in a role commensurate with the key responsibilities defined
- Demonstrated leadership ability with prior supervisory experience
- Prior experience leading multi-shift operations
- General ability to perform all the duties as described above
- Proficient computer skills (including e-mail, MS Excel, MS Word)
- Experience with ERP software
- Strong verbal communication skill
- Flexibility to adapt in a fast paced and changing environment.
