About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Finance Platform team—one of Rippling’s most technically ambitious product engineering groups. This team builds foundational systems that power risk, compliance, fraud, and accounting infrastructure across Rippling’s finance products—products that move billions of dollars and pay millions of workers each week.

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering platform capabilities that are critical to the company’s financial stack. You’ll work on high impact systems, own complex architectural decisions, and lead technical execution across multi-quarter initiatives.

What You'll Work On

This team is responsible for building key platforms that enable financial controls, automation, and intelligence across multiple products at Rippling. These include :

• Powering real-time enforcement of financial policies and decisioning logic across Rippling's products to ensure trust, compliance, and safety at scale
• Enabling internal operations teams to build, customize, and maintain internal third-party integrations and workflows with zero engineering involvement
• Solving non-deterministic problems using machine learning and behavioral modeling. Detect anomalies, flag suspicious patterns, and enhance the quality of decision-making across Rippling’s financial ecosystem

This role will receive a competitive salary + benefits + equity. The salary for US-based employees will be aligned with one of the ranges below based on location; see which tier applies to your location here .

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed below.

The pay range for this role is :

180,000 - 315,000 USD per year (US Tier 1)
