Church of the City New York is looking for a committed and proactive Safety Director who will provide specialized expertise to develop, implement, and oversee safety and security policies for Church of the City. As an independent contractor, the Safety Director will operate autonomously, offering services on a project-based and event-support basis, ensuring the safety and security of the church community. The role is part-time and project-focused, providing flexibility and independence in work execution.

Contractor Status and Autonomy :

• The Safety Director will independently manage their schedule and determine the methods, tools, and resources needed to fulfill the deliverables outlined in the contract.
• The role will focus on project-based tasks, with specific goals and outcomes outlined in a written agreement.
• The contractor will supply their own equipment and software for work, excluding church-provided systems necessary for collaboration.
• The contractor will not receive employee benefits, such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement plans.
• The contractor may offer their services to other organizations, provided there is no conflict of interest.
