Deliver strategic and operational business consulting services for facilities management focused primarily on lean transformation, efficiency, and compliance. Quality specialist manages the facilities operations transformation into facilities management (i.e. manage the lean and cultural transformation objective and any / all associated projects) fostering and nurturing facilities into a lean based culture. Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis in support of the development and delivery of strategic planning, performance management, and / or program evaluation. Apply business process transformation, quality improvement, and systems engineering methodologies. Candidate will participate in a collaborative team environment, lead project teams through complex and ambiguous situations, develop timely solutions that effectively address business needs, serve as a catalyst for change, and interact and maintain relationships with all levels of staff, including senior-level executives. Manages single threaded projects of minimal complexity to larger scale complexity. Accountable to manage project with approved scope, schedule, and budget. Identifies, translates and applies pre-defined best practices on assigned projects. Directs and coordinates all aspects of project including other assigned resources (personnel, tools, etc.). Focus is on improving and refining processes. Responsible for data analysis, development of findings and recommendations, and presentation including solution / deliverable, development, and coordinating deployment of deliverables. Participates in development and implementation of improvement strategy. Facilitates / coaches improvement efforts to support lean transformation. Develops and performs training related to improvement concepts. This position may require occasional travel to supported regions (AZ, FL, SWMN, SEMN, Rochester, NWWI & SWWI). This position supports Mayo's work from anywhere model and is managed accordingly.
Master's degree in management, industrial engineering, systems engineering, operations research, business administration, or health-related field with 2 years' experience to include several of the following areas; operations analysis, workflow analysis, staffing analysis, process engineering, electronic systems implementation, leadership, systems engineering, and project management with broad-based key institutional initiatives, or; Bachelor's degree in management, industrial engineering, systems engineering, operations research, business administration, or health-related field and 5 years' experience to include several of the following areas; consulting, operations analysis, workflow analysis, staffing analysis, process engineering, electronic systems implementation, leadership, systems engineering, and project management with broad-based key institutional initiatives.
General knowledge of core business consulting, processes, and methodologies. Understanding of facilities services preferred, and proficiency in use of office and project efficiency tools (MS Excel, Word, Access, and statistical packages, etc.). Ability to gather and document project-based functional user requirements knowledge and demonstrated use of process engineering implementation and execution methodologies and tools. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. Skills working knowledge of process improvement philosophies (Lean Management System - Leader Standard Work, Standard Work, Visual Management, and A3 Problem Solving), Plan Do Study Act (PDSA), Six Sigma and appropriate use of process improvement tools (e.g. Value Stream / Kaizen Event Facilitation, 5S).
Exempt. Compensation range is $76,731.20 - $115,003.20 / year. Benefits eligible. Schedule is full time, 80 hours / pay period. Schedule details are Monday - Friday 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm Central Standard Time. Requires 1 day / week onsite in Rochester, MN. Equal opportunity.
