Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - Infusion Suite

At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a CMA / RMA to join our team in the Infusion Suite. The primary responsibility of the CMA / RMA is :

Competent in managing patient flow and rooming patients, medical and surgical asepsis & infection control techniques, and positioning and prepping patients for office procedures.

Initiates and completes the prior-authorization process for medications and diagnostics as assigned by the Clinical Coordinator.

Answers telephone calls as needed in response to patient inquiries. Refer patients to other staff as appropriate.

Interacts professionally and appropriately with patients, families, and colleagues at all levels in a busy clinical setting.

An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications :

• Registered Medical Assistant or AAMA certified medical assistant
• Eligible to sit for the AAMA national certification exam
• Competency in phlebotomy a bonus
• High integrity, able to follow procedures
• Ability to be a self-motivated learner, to take initiative in learning the many complex processes
