Step Into Your New Role

As a Water / Wastewater Project Engineer joining our New England Water Team, you will contribute to a variety of variety of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure planning, design, and construction projects. You will work with a talented team of professionals with sought after experience in water resources planning, distribution and collection systems design, construction management, and trenchless technologies. You will work in a team-oriented environment, leveraging engineering and design expertise to develop technical solutions through the application of engineering knowledge and skills to support project delivery. Much of our team enjoys a hybrid schedule, which allows us to offer this role in Portland, ME; or Manchester, NH offices.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and provide technical design support for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
• Perform engineering calculations, analyze results, and communicate technical processes effectively to team members and clients.
• Participate in or lead field reconnaissance activities and site visits to assess project needs and conditions.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, contributing ideas and recommendations that leverage your engineering expertise across different areas of focus.
• Prepare and review design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Support project management tasks, including scheduling, permitting, and construction coordination.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports, proposals, and other project-related documentation.
• Mentor and guide junior staff, providing leadership and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Engage in professional development activities to continuously improve skills and knowledge in water / wastewater design and infrastructure engineering.
