Summary

Supervise all activities within the facility with direction from the Production Manager. Establishes standards of performance, measures progress, establishes and manages workflow, and determine personnel needs based on production schedules with the assistance of the Production Manager and Human Resources.

Job Duties & Tasks

• Direct and coordinate production, processes, and distribution.
• Coordinate production control activities within the facility to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished.
• Review production schedules and orders to make decisions regarding inventory and staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments.
• Review production or process issues with the Production Control Manager.
• Work with Human Resources to hire, train, evaluate, and resolve employee concerns and / or grievances, and ethically process terminations.
• Manage and maintain labor overtime costs within production department.
• Prepare and maintain production control reports.
• Work with Production Control Manager to establish and manage standards to improve material flow and layout for development events and new vehicle projects.
• Collaborate with team leads on department activities and employee engagement.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Assist in developing and implementing production tracking to detect production problems.
• Work with Production Control Manager to implement and maintain various programs such as preventative maintenance; environmental, health and safety; training; and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures to new employees and / or assign employees for training.
• Observe workflow and processes, and other indicators to ensure operators conform to production, processing, and / or quality standards.
• Provide direction, development, and leadership to floor associates.
• Other duties as assigned.
